Thông báo buổi nói chuyện về chủ đề quyền sỡ hữu trí tuệ và bản quyền số

BUỔI NÓI CHUYỆN VỀ CHỦ ĐỀ QUYỀN SỞ HỮU TRÍ TUỆ VÀ BẢN QUYỀN SỐ

Trường Đại học Luật Hà Nội phối hợp Đại sứ quán Hợp Chủng Quốc Hoa Kỳ tại Hà Nội và Baker McKenzie và BMVN (một liên minh của Baker McKenzie Việt Nam) xin thông báo về buổi nói chuyện của Ông Tarun Sawney, Giám đốc phụ trách công tác chống vi phạm bản quyền khu vực Châu Á-Thái Bình Dương của Liên minh Phần mềm (BSA), cụ thể như sau:

  1. Chủ đề: Quyền Sở Hữu Trí Tuệ và Bản Quyền Số
  2. Thời gian: 14h00 – 16h00 ngày 11/10/2017 (Thứ Tư)
  3. Địa điểm: Phòng A402
  4. Mục đích: Chia sẻ kiến thức cập nhật nhất về quyền sở hữu trí tuệ trong giai đoạn phát triển sâu rộng của kỹ thuật số và Internet, nhằm trang bị cho sinh viên các kiến thức, kinh nghiệm quốc tế liên quan đến bản quyền và quyền sở hữu trí tuệ.
  5. Ngôn ngữ: Tiếng Anh có phiên dịch
  6. Đăng ký: Giảng viên và sinh viên đăng ký tham gia buổi nói chuyện qua địa chỉ email: vivian.dav.2808@gmail.com gồm tên, lớp, khoa chuyên môn trước ngày 11/10/2017.  

        Ông TARUN SAWNEY có 18 năm kinh nghiệm làm việc trong lĩnh vực sở hữu trí tuệ. Hiện ông là Giám đốc phụ trách công tác chống vi phạm bản quyền khu vực Châu Á-Thái Bình Dương của Liên minh Phần mềm (BSA) | The Software Alliance (www.bsa.org).

With headquarters in Washington, DC, and operations in more than 60 countries, BSA pioneers compliance programs that promote legal software use and advocates for public policies that foster technology innovation and drive growth in the digital economy. Tarun heads up BSA operations in APAC and is responsible for managing all compliance and enforcement activities in APAC. In particular, he is: • responsible for analysing intellectual property (IP) protection regimes, performance by country and preparation of in-depth reports for the US Trade Representative (USTR). • raising awareness on the risks of using illegal software, and publicizing instances of transgression in order to reduce the use of unlicensed software. • raising awareness on the threat of cybersecurity to businesses. • building relationships with stakeholders in the private and public sector and advocating for regulatory and enforcement changes to enhance copyright protection. • advancing awareness amongst organizations on the value of Software Asset Management. • driving compliance marketing programs to encourage voluntary legalization of software assets. • preparation of manuals and providing training to the judiciary, enforcement bodies, investigation agencies and law firms. Prior to joining the BSA in 2001, Tarun was the Deputy Director, Asia Pacific, with the Motion Picture Association focusing on tackling movie piracy. This trade association represents the leading Hollywood studios including Sony Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox, Universal Studios, Warner Bros., Paramount and MGM. Whilst serving in the Royal Hong Kong Police, Tarun was awarded a graduate scholarship by the Hong Kong government to the University of Hong Kong where he majored in Political Science.
